Recycled parts are “GREEN”

Did you know that using recycled automotive parts helps reduce the impact we have on the environment? Our cars are something that most of us use everyday. They are also the most recycled consumer item in the world. When you purchase a quality recycled part, you are helping to eliminate the need for raw materials and energy that would be required to produce a new part. Recycled used parts provide a “GREEN” alternative, with both a financial and environmental benefit.

Lewis Auto Parts Cares about the Environment

We are an environmentally friendly facility. Each vehicle that we dismantle undergoes an environmental checklist with includes but is not limited to: drainage of fluids, removal of gas tanks, removal of batteries, evacuation of freon and removal of mercury switches.

The fluids such as gasoline, oil and antifreeze are either recycled or properly disposed of with licensed commercial services. The batteries and freon are recycled and the mercury switches are removed as part of a voluntary federal program. E-mail: lewisauto@bizec.rr.com
